Celiac plexus block is a procedure used to reduce some of the symptoms of chronic abdominal pain, especially pancreatic cancer pain. The Celiac plexus is a structure located in the abdomen, behind the stomach and in front of diaphragm. Chemical ablation of Celiac plexus could be used to treat intractable abdominal pain related to pancreatic cancer or chronic pancreatitis.
